With the Crawford Ball approaching fast (nine days to be exact), unfortunately my usual intense focus on studio....ahem...is going to have to take a strategic kick in the balls to allow me to find a dress.
Usually I would be in a mild state of panic at this stage, having nothing organised beyond a date - thanks again Breeze, despite it being the middle of exam month for real universities.
The theme is summed up around a few buzzwords; 1920s, prohibition, gangsters and molls and flapper. Only a few weeks before this I had read a flapper related post on Glamorous Glue and had been dying for an opportunity to try out the look.
Lucky despite being a relatively small city, Cork is home to some brilliant and relatively cheap vintage shops; Turquoise Flamingo , Mercury Goes Retrograde and Miss Daisy Blue being my favourites.
The last few days should have been spent either holed up in my shed catching up on studio work or watching Chaplin shorts(for an exam that is merely hours away). These hours have instead involved hours of trawling through tumblr and other sites for inspiration...beneath are some of my favourite photos regarding the look.
Enjoy...
